The Labor Studies program for the Summer Institute will again feature
a session devoted to methodology, organized by Patrick Kline on
Thursday July 26th. This summer's theme will be the empirical study
of networks. Network data provide new opportunities to study
interactions between economic agents but also present difficult
obstacles to statistical inference. We seek both state of the art
applied contributions illustrating the empirical analysis of network
data and papers providing new econometric methods for estimation and
inference in network settings. As in past years, we hope for an
active dialogue across fields.

It is that time of year when we start planning for the NBER's Summer
Institute. The Labor Studies workshops will take place during the
week of July 23, 2018 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

If you have a paper you would like considered for presentation,
please upload a copy here by March 19,
2018: http://papers.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=SI18LS.

The format of the submission page is the same as last year. Your
submission will default to this workshop but you will have the option
to submit to others on the second page of the form.
