RE: Call for Papers, Joint CRIW-NBER Summer Institute Session

The NBER and CRIW are continuing an initiative whose goal is to increase
further the professional interactions among producers and users of
government economic statistics. To that end, in summer 2007 the NBER's
Productivity Program and the CRIW will jointly sponsor a workshop to be
held on Monday, July 16 and Tuesday, July 17 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The purpose of this memo is to invite you to submit proposed papers in PDF
format or a format readable by Word to all three workshop co-organizers
(Ernst Berndt - eberndt@mit.edu, Carol Corrado - carol.a.corrado@frb.gov
and Charles Hulten - hulten@econ.umd.edu) no later than March 23,
2007. Invitations will be sent out by May 4. Selected papers will need to
be completed and sent to the NBER by June 15.

Travel expenses for presenters and discussants will be reimbursed in
accordance with the NBER travel guidelines. However, due to budget
constraints, expenses for other participants cannot be covered. The NBER
Conference Department will assist in making lodging and other logistical
arrangements.

If you have any questions, please contact Rob Shannon in the NBER's
Conference Department at 617/868-3900 or rshannon@nber.org.
