M E M O R A N D U M TO: Authors of Papers at NBER Conferences and Meetings FROM: Kirsten Foss Davis DATE: October 12, 2000 RE: Abstracts I understand that you have agreed to present a paper at this upcoming Bureau conference/meeting. Please be sure to send us a one paragraph abstract of your paper that we can use in an article about the meeting in the NBER Reporter. The abstract should emphasize your main findings and would be written in the non-technical style of an executive summary. You should e-mail your abstract to Donna Zerwitz, NBER Director of Public Information. Her address is zerwitz@nber.org. Please use either WordPerfect/PDF or MsWord. Also, please let us know if you would like to have your paper made available on the NBER's Conference Department web page. If you are unable to send your abstract or summary via e-mail, we can arrange to have them electronically scanned and edited prior to publication. So we ask that you please double space and use a fairly large and regular type face (i.e. at least 10 point type and no italics).
