Dear all:
My thanks to Peter Schott and John McLaren for organizing the summer institute, as well as to all those who attended. The room was full, but not over-full. I understand that a number of other programs now have attendance exceeding 100, meaning they have to meet at the Royal Sonesta. My impression is that our group wishes to stay at 1050 Mass Ave., which will mean that the attendance this year (70, though not everyone was in the room at once) is an upper bound.
Next year the summer institute will be organized by John McLaren and Andrés Rodríguez-Clare.
The next program meeting is December 5-6, 2008. It will not take place at the San Francisco Fed, as previously announced, due to difficulty in getting hotel accommodation there. We will instead be meeting at UC San Diego, in La Jolla. If you wish to present, please send an abstract or paper to me by Monday, SEPTEMBER 22.
