PART-TIME / FULL-TIME RESEARCH ASSISTANT AT THE IMF

The Trade Unit at the IMF's Research Department is looking for a
research assistant to start in December, 2003 or January, 2004. The
ideal candidate is someone who is in or prepared to enter an economics
PhD program, has good training in econometrics, is familiar with
statistical softwares such as STATA, and is very responsible and
meticulous.

We are looking for either a full-time research assistant for
three months or a half-time assistant for four-to-five months. The IMF
pays approximately US$35,000 - 40,000 (after tax) per annum, depending
on the person's background, prorated to fit the length of contract. The
position requires residence in the Washington DC area.

We will also hire another full-time research assistant on a
one-year contract to start around May/June/July, 2004. Expression of
interest in this position is also welcome, although the decision on this
position is likely to be made sometime in February or March.

If you know someone who is interested, please have him/her send
an email to me with a cv, grades in graduate-level
econometrics/statistics courses, and three names of referees.
