Subject: Updated World Trade Flows

Dear ITI group:
An updated version of the Statistics Canada "World Trade Flows,"
giving bilateral 3 to 4 digit SITC trade data from 1980-1997,
is now available. This is the same data that was included
with NBER working paper #5910, but is now updated to 1997.
The CD-ROM can be ordered from UC Davis for $250, using
the attached order form. (This price is a very modest
effort at cost recovery, since I purchased the Stats
Canada data for $10,000, and have "unbundled" it from
the front-end software that Stats Canada uses). The UC Davis
CD-ROM includes just plain ASCII files, much like the earlier
version. It is available to anyone, Bureau members or not.
