The University of California Energy Institute's Center for the Study of
Energy Markets (CSEM) announces a

RESEARCH CONFERENCE ON GASOLINE AND OIL MARKETS

CSEM invites interested researchers to submit papers for a one day
Research Conference on Gasoline and Oil Markets. The Conference will be
held in Berkeley on December 1, 2006.

Topics may include, but are not limited to

     * Market Power and Merger Analysis in Oil or Gasoline Markets
     * Vertical Restrictions in Gasoline Markets
     * Competition in Retail Gasoline Markets
     * Effects of Regional Gasoline Specification Differences
     * Environmental Restrictions and Fuel Markets
     * The Economics of Alternative Transportation Fuels

Draft papers should be sent before September 1, 2006 to:

Abstracts, speeches, and PowerPoint presentations will not be accepted.
