Dear Colleagues,

For those of you who may not have already heard, I am sorry to have to
tell you that Peter Pashigian died last at his home in Chicago last week.
Peter has been a steadfast participant in program meetings from the
inception of the NBER's IO program, and I am sure you all join me in
mourning his loss. I particularly will miss his quiet but tenancious way
of bringing discussions back to the fundamental economic precepts
underlying the papers, and his passion for economics as a way of
understanding the world.

Peter is survived by his wife, Rose, his two children, Melissa
Pashigian and Peter Allan Pashigian, and a sister, Ardem Antonian. If
anyone would like to send a personal note to the family, you can reach Rose
at 5632 South Dorchester, Chicago IL 60637. The family has requested that
any memorial contributions be made to Horizon Hospice, 833 W. Chicago Ave.,
Chicago, IL 60622. Their telephone number is 312-733-2233. I understand
that there will be a memorial service later this year, and I will pass
along any information I receive about this to you.
