The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Chinese Economy
Working Group will hold its Fall 2019 meeting at the NBER HQs in
Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 26-27, 2019.

The meeting welcomes new and interesting research on all aspects of
the Chinese economy, and is open to papers from a variety of fields.

The conference does not publish proceedings or issue NBER working
papers - it is presumed that most of the presented papers will be published
later in academic journals.

If you are interested in presenting a paper this year, please upload
a pdf file by May 31, 2019, to this link:

http://papers.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=CEf19

If you know of a good paper that fits our needs, please feel free to
forward this call to the author.

Preference will be given to empirically oriented papers or applied
theory papers with clear empirical implications for which at least a
preliminary draft
is ready by the time of the submission. Only authors of accepted
papers will be contacted.

Economy class airfare, as well as local travel and accommodation will
be provided for presenters and discussants.

We look forward to hearing from you.
