Subject: NY Fed Financial Globalization Conference

Greetings.

This note is to remind you that we are organizing a conference on
Financial Globalization, to be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New
York on December 2-3. The conference deals with a number of issues of
particular relevance to the IFM group, such as the benefits and
vulnerabilities arising from international capital mobility, recent trends
in international capital flows, their determinants, and their
implications; frictions in, and obstacles to, increased global
integration; the timing, extent, and methods of international adjustment
to macroeconomic shocks and sustained trade imbalances; and the redesign
of institutions to better serve global capital markets. Stan Fischer will
be our keynote speaker.

You will find the conference program at
http://www.newyorkfed.org/research/conference/2004/financial_globalization.html

If you are interested in attending the conference, please download the
registration information and return the completed form to Linda Cimini, Fax: 212.720.8363, Email:
RMAG.Conference@ny.frb.org. For specific information feel free to contact us.

We look forward to seeing you in New York
