The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Institute of Government and
Public Affairs at the University of Illinois invite submissions to a
conference on The Affordable Care Act and the Labor Market, to be held
March 21, 2014 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Conference Highlights:
Presentations of unpublished, original scholarly research related
to the potential impact of the Affordable Care Act on the labor market.
A panel discussion featuring David Card, Class of 1950 Professor
of Economics in the Department of Economics of the University of
California, Berkeley, and Jonathan Gruber, Professor in the Department of
Economics of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
We invite scholars engaged in research relevant to the conference theme to
submit their work for inclusion in the conference. Approximately 5 to 6
papers will be selected for presentation. The organizing committee will
give priority to original research with direct public policy application.

Participants will be selected on the basis of papers or extended abstracts
of approximately 500 words. Conference organizers will pay travel and
lodging expenses for one author of each accepted paper.
