I'm sorry about this. I never like to say no when members of my program ask me to invite people. Next year I will send an e-mail message to all program members indicating that I must receive request to invite people by a date that you specify. Is May 15 an appropriate date. Please note the NBER's room block at the hotel is full. There are
rooms available but they are at a higher rate ($199 plus tax).
Also all of these late additions cause much unneeded extra work and
stress at an extremely busy time in the conference dept.
I'm sure your plan was not too keep adding to your invitation list at
this late date but please be mindful of the burden last minute
additions cause this already labor intensive event next year.
