TO: Members of NBER Programs on Aging, Health Care and Health Economics.

Please see below (and attachment) for a pre-doctoral fellowship opportunity
at the NBER. Note that this year we are accepting applications from PhD
students from any university, if they will be resident in the Boston area
during the fellowship period.

The National Bureau of Economic Research seeks applications for its
Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Program in Aging and Health Economics for the
2015-2016 academic year. This program gives students exposure to a wide
range of NBER research projects related to the economics of aging and
health care. Participating fellows pursue independent research while
benefiting from opportunities for regular interaction with the Bureau’s
large network of prominent investigators working in this field.

The fellowships provide a 12-month stipend of $22,920 as well as tuition
support, office space and use of computer facilities at the Bureau's
Cambridge office, plus limited funds for travel and research expenses.

NBER encourages applications from individuals from under-represented racial
and ethnic groups; individuals with disabilities; and/or individuals from
disadvantaged backgrounds. Please refer to
http://grants.nih.gov/training/faq_diversity.htm#A3 for more information
about NIH recruitment goals.

Program details and on-line application are available at www.nber.org/jobs

DEADLINE: April 30, 2015

If you know of any students who would be interested in this program, please
encourage them to apply. (Please note that NIH fellows must be US citizens
or *permanent* residents although funding is occasionally available for a
candidate with a student visa).

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Janet
Stein at the Cambridge office, (617) 588-0366 (email: jbstein_at_nber.org).

Thank you for your help in publicizing this opportunity.
