spring vs. fall meeting

Dear HC Program Members -

thanks to those of you who participated for a terrific summer institute!
  We had a great turnout.

I wanted to take a quick poll of program members on the timing of the
annual meeting. Traditionally (and in this coming year) it has been in
the spring. But I get SO many excellent summer institute submissions
that I am thinking it might make more sense to move the meeting to the
fall, where those papers that do not make the summer institute "cut" can
have another (reasonably proximate) shot at presentation. New
submissions would of course be welcome as well.

I wanted to write to gather STRONG OPINIONS on having the meeting in the
spring vs. the fall. If you are close to indifferent, there is NO NEED
to write back. But if you have strong feelings either way (e.g. you
couldn't make the meeting if it were fall vs. spring, or you have
another strong reason for preferring one to another) please let me know.
Please let me know either way - if I only get complaints about moving
to the fall then it will bias my decision! So once again if you have
strong preferences EITHER for fall or spring annual meeting, please let
me know.

thanks

Jon Gruber
