UCLA and RAND Health invite applications to their jointly sponsored postdoctoral training program, funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. This program, which began in the early 1990s, typically funds two postdoctoral fellows for a two-year period. Fellows can choose mentors at UCLA or RAND. We will also facilitate access to leading health policy scholars at the University of Southern California. This mentoring and research experience is supplemented by relevant classroom training at the UCLA School of Public Health and elsewhere in the university.
While UCLA's School of Public Health and RAND Health have faculty and researchers with expertise in many aspects of health services research, we believe that several areas stand out:
* Health economics
* Public and private health insurance
* Comparative effectiveness research
* Quality of care enhancement
* Access to care and disparities research
* Mental health care
Applications are due by January 20, 2012. We would be grateful if you could let interested doctoral students or recent graduates know about the opportunity. They can receive more information at: http://www.ph.ucla.edu/hs/post_doctoral.asp
