Junior Faculty Position in Health Economics

Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health is inviting
applications for a tenure-track faculty position in health economics at the
Assistant Professor level in the Department of Health Policy and Management,
beginning Fall 2009.

 

We seek scholars with a PhD in economics, public policy, or public health
who will be able to conduct research in health economics and healthcare
finance, focusing on health-service delivery and the organization of
healthcare systems. The successful candidate should have a record of
publication in this area and have demonstrated potential for obtaining grant
funding for research. Responsibilities will include teaching a course in
healthcare financial analysis, conducting research, developing external
grant support, and collaborating with other faculty members of the
Department, School, and University.

 

The Department of Health Policy and Management is a multidisciplinary
faculty that trains Masters and Doctoral level students. We maintain close
ties with Columbia's Graduate School of Business, Graduate School of Arts
and Sciences, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and School of
International and Public Affairs, as well as with many New York area
healthcare delivery and research institutions.
