Dear NBER Colleagues,

I am writing to collect information on research papers that have been published since June, or will be published by October 29, in journals that preclude pre-publication distribution. These are papers that could not be included in the NBER working paper series. Information on these papers will be distributed in the NBER 'List of Affiliates’ Work in Medical and Other Journals with Pre-Publication Restrictions’. Health-related papers will also be listed in the fall Bulletin on Health.

If one or more of your papers appeared in the last 3 months, or is going to appear in the next month, in a peer-reviewed journal with a pre-publication embargo policy, please send a link to the published paper, and/or citation details, to me at sstewart_at_nber.org <mailto:sstewart_at_nber.org> by Friday Oct 9th. These papers must meet the same standards as submissions to the NBER working paper series – they should present new research findings and may not make policy recommendations or normative statements. For papers that are not yet published, please check with the journal to see if you can post your work to the NBER series; a number of journals that are widely-believed to preclude such distribution will actually permit it.

The list of papers from last cycle may be found here: https://www.nber.org/BH/2020no2/lemedical_other_20202.html

Thank you for providing this information and assisting the NBER in calling attention to your research.

Best,
Susan Stewart
