>CUHK (Shenzhen) is a newly established campus of Chinese University
>of Hong Kong: (see http://www.cuhk.edu.cn/en/ for more information).
>Shenzhen is one of the four first-tier cities in China, together
>with Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. It was one of the first
>Special Economic Zones where Chinese economic reform started 35
>years ago. Now known as China's Silicon Valley, it is home to many
>of the most recognizable Chinese private, high-tech firms such as
>Tencent and Huawei, as well as Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Shenzhen is
>located just north of Hong Kong, only one hour away from Hong Kong
>airport by car. If you have not been to Shenzhen, it is an excellent
>window for a first-hand view of the vibrant private economy of
>China, and it promises to be a very different experience from
>visiting Beijing and Shanghai.
>
>We look forward to hearing from you.
