National Academy of Sciences Award in Scientific Reviewing

Dear colleague,

I am writing as chair of the selection committee for the National
Academy of Sciences Award in Scientific Reviewing to encourage NBER
members to nominate worthy candidates for the award, scheduled for
presentation this year in the category of Economics.

The NAS Award in Scientific Reviewing is awarded to recognize authors
whose reviews have synthesized extensive and difficult material,
rendering a significant service to science and influencing the course
of scientific thought.

Nominations are due by Wednesday, September 15, 2010 and should include:

1. A letter of three pages or fewer describing the candidate's work
and why he or she should be selected for the award.
2. A curriculum vitae that includes the nominee's citizenship and
date of birth.
3. A short bibliography listing 12 or fewer of the nominee’s most
significant publications
4. Up to three supporting letters of recommendation

Items should be submitted to the NAS by email at awards_at_nas.edu, or to
