Call for papers on economic measurement for 2010 AEA meetings

NBER colleagues,

As it has done for the past two years, the AEA Committee on Economic
Statistics will organize three sessions on economic measurement topics
for the 2010 AEA meetings. One of the three sessions will be published
in the AER Papers and Proceedings volume. The committee is soliciting
proposals for research papers or sessions. I am sharing the call for
papers with you (see below) in case you, a colleague or a student is
doing work that might be considered for inclusion in one of the sessions
sponsored by the committee.

CALL FOR PAPERS FOR 2010 AEA MEETINGS

The Committee on Economic Statistics of the American Economic
Association (AEA) will sponsor three sessions at the January 2010 AEA
meetings to be held in Atlanta, GA and seeks proposals either for
individual research papers or for sessions of three to four papers on
economic measurement topics. Any proposal for a paper or session on a
topic related to the measurement of economic activity is welcome.
Topics of interest to the Committee include the measurement of
intangibles and the measurement of trade in services. One of the three
sessions organized by the Committee will be published in the AER Papers
and Proceedings volume. Abstracts for individual papers or for the
papers to be included in a proposed session should be submitted no later
than November 15, 2008 to Katharine G. Abraham, Chair of the AEA
Committee on Economic Statistics, at kabraham_at_survey.umd.edu.
