Visiting Scholar, 2009-2010 Academic Year

The New England Public Policy Center at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
has a paid visiting scholar position available for the 2009-2010 academic
year. The scholar will be expected to work on a public policy issue of
their own choosing that is of relevance to the region. Priority given to
proposals that compliment the Center?s two primary areas of interest: (1)
state and local public finance and (1) regional labor market and
demographic trends.

The visiting scholar will:
?Produce substantive research that can be published as a working paper or
other publication of the Center.
?Deliver a seminar on their research to internal Fed economists.
?Interact with Center staff as a colleague.
?Interact with researchers or policymakers around the region.

Requirements: a Ph.D. in economics/related discipline; an established
research record in an area of public policy. Scholars are paid a per-hour
consulting fee or a portion of their base salary.

To Apply: Submit a letter of intent and recent curriculum vitae to Darcy
Saas (darcy.saas_at_bos.frb.org) by September 12, 2008. Indicate dates
available, full- or part-time status, salary requirements. Provide a
one-page research project proposal. Information about the Center is
