Greetings,

This is a reminder that the call for papers for the next meeting of the
World Bank's Microeconomics of Growth Research Network in Rio de Janiero on
December 13 and 14 2007 will close on October 19 2007. If you have a paper
that you would like to present, please email them by by this date to
Chang-tai Hsieh (chsieh_at_econ.berkeley.edu ), Mary Hallward-Driemier (
mhallward_at_worldbank.org), and Robin Burgess ( r.burgess_at_lse.ac.uk). We
will cover expenses and economy airfare.

The meeting is being co-organized with the Fundacao Getulio Vargas. The
first day of the conference will be focused on growth in Brazil, with
presentations by Jose Scheinkman (informality), Ricardo Paes de Barros
(education and inequality), Martin Ravallion (growth and poverty), Marc
Muendler (trade and manufacturing) and Pedro Ferreira (infrastructure). We
are looking for papers for the second day of the conference, and are
interested in papers that speak broadly to the microeconomics of growth
(broadly defined) anywhere in the world.

Thank you.
