Dear NBER Researchers -

I wrote last October about plans for a memorial program in honor of
Anna Schwartz, the NBER's longest-serving researcher, who passed away
last June. Since the event is now less than two months away, I am
writing to provide further details.

The memorial program will be held in New York City on Sunday
afternoon, April 21, 2013. We will gather at 12:30pm at the Sofitel
Hotel, 45 W. 44th Street, New York NY 10036. The program will begin at
1:00pm and will be followed by light refreshments. The speakers will be
Michael Bordo, Martin Feldstein, Allan Meltzer, Edward Nelson, William
Poole, Christina Romer, and Eloise Pasachoff (Anna's grand-daughter).
We will also have a pre-recorded tribute from Alan Greenspan.

I hope that you will be able to join us. Many NBER researchers
have already responded to Marinella Moscheni (mmoscheni_at_gc.cuny.edu).
Marinella, in the NBER's New York office, is maintaining our RSVP list,
and she will send an email shortly to everyone who indicated that they
plan to attend. Unless your plans have changed since last fall, there
is no need to reply to Marinella when you receive her message. If you
have not responded previously, and if you plan to attend, please email
her, so that we will can prepare for the appropriate number of guests.
Marinella can also provide more details on parking and other logistics
related to this event.

     All best wishes.
