Dear colleagues,

it is our pleasure to announce a series of workshops and summer schools at the Department of Economics of the University of Mainz.

The events cover issues ranging from labour economics via macro and econometrics to behavioural economics. Guest lecturers come from Stanford, Chicago and other universities. The first workshop is on 30 April, the last summer school ends on 31 August.

Call for papers: Mainz Workshop in Trade, Growth, and Macroeconomics: A Quantitative Approach

The Department of Economics at the University of Mainz, Germany, invites submissions for a two-day workshop in Trade, Growth, and Macroeconomics, which will take place on August 14-15, 2012. The workshop aims at stimulating exchange of ideas in the theoretical and empirical modeling of macroeconomic aspects as related to trade and growth. The keynote speech of the workshop will be delivered by Samuel S. Kortum (University of Chicago).

The deadline for submissions is June 10, 2012. Authors of submitted papers will be notified of the decision beginning of July. For submission, please send your paper as an email attachment to Silke Brandau.

We can cover accommodation and reimburse travel expenses for the authors whose contributions were accepted to the workshop.
