Greetings:

The Latin American and Carribean Economic Association (LACEA) is pleased to
launch a new network of researchers working in
international trade and economic growth in Latin America. We will have our
first meeting at El Colegio de Mexico in Mexico City on December 10-12. The
program committee will be Andres Rodriguez-Clare and Alan Taylor. We are
looking for innovative papers on international trade, integration, and
economic growth (broadly defined). If you would like to present a paper or
attend the meeting, please email a draft of a paper or an expression of
interest to laceagrowthtrade_at_gmail.com by Oct. 15, 2009. We will cover
economy airfare and expenses. We will also have a policy panel focused on
the objectives and prospects of free trade agreements in Latin America.
We look forward to seeing you in Mexico City.

Sincerely,

Antoni Estevadeordal (IADB), Chang-Tai Hsieh (University of Chicago), and
Pablo Sanguinetti (CAF and UTDT).
