Dear Don,
Greetings--it has been too long since our paths have crossed. I'm
writing to ask your advice. Our colleague, Lester Lave, passed away
recently--a very sad loss for us. Lester and his wife, Judy, endowed a
professorship. I am a member of the search committee seeking to fill the
chair. As you will see from the announcement, we're looking for an
economist who has some science or engineering background (e.g., an
undergraduate degree) who does policy-oriented research that takes
account of relevant aspects of technology.
We would much appreciate your suggestions of candidates we should consider.
