RE: Invitation and logistical Information

I would like to invite you to participate in the NBER's Environmental
and Energy Economics Program Meeting. We will have a joint meeting
with Labor Studies on Friday-Saturday April 17-18, 2009 in Cambridge
MA. The LS Program will meet at the Royal Sonesta all day on that
Friday, with about six paper presentations. The morning will include
labor papers that are not necessarily related to energy or the
environment, and the afternoon will have joint LS&EEE papers (about
three, plus or minus, depending on the quality of
submissions). Then Saturday April 18, the EEE group will continue
at 1050 Massachusetts Avenue with about 3-4 papers that are not
necessarily of interest to the labor folks.

That's about 9-10 papers, of which the first 6-7 are LS, and the last
6-7 are EEE. All members of both LS and EEE will be invited to both
meetings, so you can come Thursday evening if you are interested to
attend Friday morning labor papers. I certainly hope you will attend
at least the EEE portions, starting Friday at lunch and continuing
through Saturday lunch (April 17-18).

The EEE portions of this meeting will be organized by Olivier
Deschenes and myself (working with Richard Freeman on the joint
session). The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2009. Please
direct submission to me in January at
<mailto:dfullert_at_illinois.edu>dfullert_at_illinois.edu , and indicate
whether you intend your submission for the joint LS/EEE session
Friday or EEE session Saturday.

For reasons outlined in earlier emails to EEE members, we urge each
of you to use university travel grants or some of your own grant
money for costs of travel to this meeting. For RA's and FRF's
without other ways to cover travel to this meeting, the NBER will
cover the cost of discounted fares, and up to two nights hotel.
