Dear NBER DEV members
Please join me in welcoming three new members to DEV. They are:

Congratulations each of you! We are looking forward to your participation
in the program.
DEV will meet at the Summer Institute this year on Thurs 23 and Fri 24
July, at the end of week 3. I am very grateful to Andrew Foster and
Tavneet Suri who worked with me to select the papers for the program. The

I hope it will be another fun meeting.
You should have received an invitation from Rob Shannon to participate in
SI. Please let me know if you have not received an invitation. I very much
hope you will be able to join us. We are going to continue the experiment
of having discussants for each paper this year. In addition, I have set
aside a little time after the last paper on Friday to discuss DEV and
current and future DEV activities.
Our Fall program meeting, which is joint with BREAD, will be held on
Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September in Cambridge, MA. A call for papers
will be distributed in the summer.
As always, please let me know if you have suggestions for improving DEV.
