To All DAE Family Members:
The DAE Summer Institute is almost upon us and the team of Howard
Bodenhorn, Michael Haines, and Zorina Khan deserve our thanks for a truly
great program.
I am asking for your help again this year in my summary of DAE current and
future research activities, conferences planned, grants through the NBER,
and other research accomplishments. The request is more urgent this year
because of the transition from Marty Feldstein to Jim Poterba. I need to
explain to Jim (very briefly) what our program is all about and what
exciting research is being done by economic historians.
At your earliest convenience please send me a brief (a few paragraphs)
statement about:
1. Your current and future research projects;
2. Any conference you have in mind that you have not told me about;
3. Any present or future grants you will be running through the NBER.
I already have your CV, so you should not send that. Also, please don't
use attachments. Just type (or cut and paste) a paragraph or more about
your research. Since I'll need to summarize everyone's work, it would be
helpful if you did that for your own.
I hope to see all of you on July 7 at the DAE Summer Institute.
