2002 ASSA Meetings
January 4-6, 2002
The Cliometrics Society will sponsor three sessions and the Economic
History Association will sponsor two sessions at the ASSA meetings in
Atlanta, January 4-6, 2001. The Selection Committee for the two sets of
sessions will be co-chaired by the ASSA Coordinator for the Cliometrics
Society, Kyle Kauffman (Wellesley College) and by ASSA Selection Chair for
the Economic History Association, Price Fishback (University of Arizona).
Authors interested in presenting papers should send a one to two page
proposal including a description of the paper and all contact information
by May 22, 2001. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals
via e-mail. Please send documents as attachments, in either Word or
WordPerfect format, to the following email account set up solely to receive
proposals:

We want to allow scholars to read summaries of the papers in advance of the
ASSA meetings. Authors submitting proposals for the both types of sessions
must be prepared to send a 3,000-word summary to the Society office by
September 1, 2001 for publication as an insert in the October Newsletter of
the Cliometrics Society as well as on the Cliometrics Society webpage.
Special rule for the Cliometrics sessions:
At least one author must be a member of The Cliometrics Society to be on
the Cliometrics Sessions.

Authors notified of acceptance of paper July 1, 2001
Paper summaries due at The Cliometrics Society office September 1, 2001
