Fwd: Fw: Announcing RWJF’s Health Data for Action Call for Proposals and informational webinar

Dear Children's program members,

I thought the call for proposals below might be of interest.

The call is a little unusual. Although proposals must be submitted through
an institution such as the NBER, successful proposals do not result in a
financial award. They simply award free access to one of the four indicated
datasets. This is still pretty valuable as the data sets included are quite
expensive.

The Alterra Milone at NBER is happy to answer any questions about the
opportunity and can be reached at alterra_at_nber.org.

Best wishes
Janet and Anna

*Call for Proposals and informational webinar*

HCCI is participating in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s signature
research program, Health Data for Action, which makes highly valued health
datasets available for innovative research projects. Recently, RWJF
announced its Call for Proposals and a Nov. 9th webinar to hear from staff
at the Foundation, AcademyHealth, and the data experts to learn more about
this Call for Proposals.

Health Data for Action: Leveraging Health Data for Actionable Insights
(Data Access Award) (HD4A), supported by AcademyHealth, aims to reduce the
barriers often faced in accessing data by serving as a conduit between data
owners and interested researchers. Through the HD4A Call for Proposals,
RWJF will make valuable data from the Health Care Cost Institute
<https://hcci.cmail19.com/t/j-l-pjkkuht-wwkrhylr-y/>, OptumLabs,
CareJourney, or athenahealth available to successful applicants (applicants
will need to select one of these four datasets).

Join an informational * webinar for applicants on Nov. 9 from 1:30-3 p.m.
ET* for an opportunity to ask questions about the Call for Proposals (CFP),
the data, and the grantmaking process.* Register for the applicant
webinar **here
