NIAAA has issued new R01 and R21 funding opportunities on "Implications
of New Digital Media Use for Underage Drinking, Drinking-Related
Behaviors, and Prevention Research." The proposals are due on the
standard dates (next up are: October 5 for R01s and October 16 R21s). No
letter of intent is requested.

Implications of New Digital Media Use for Underage Drinking,
Drinking-Related Behaviors, and Prevention Research
These Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA) encourage research grant
applications from institutions/organizations that propose to investigate
whether, and how, heavy involvement in new digital media usage,
particularly social media and social networking sites, may influence
adolescent alcohol use and drinking patterns, as well as
drinking-related problems. This FOA also encourages applications
proposing to explore the ways in which new digital media may be utilized
as platforms for preventive interventions aimed at underage drinking and
related problems.Check the full announcements for details.
