Subject: 2005 NBER Summer Institute in Health Economics

The NBER Health Economics Program will hold its Summer Institute on Monday afternoon, July 25 and Tuesday morning, July 26, 2005 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, MA. I am interested in soliciting papers on issues related to the economics of substance use and abuse and economic approaches to the determinants of the health of infants, children, and adults. Since I want to allow sufficient time for discussion, six papers will be presented at the Institute.
If you have a paper that you would like to present, please send it or an abstract to me. I prefer electronic submissions in Word, PDF/Adobe, or WordPerfect to the e-mail address below. Alternatively you can mail the paper or abstract to me at the address below. Please do not submit it by fax. Please send all submissions by MARCH 31, 2005. Unfortunately space is limited at the Summer Institute, and thus it will not be possible to invite everyone who receives this call for papers. Invited participants will receive logistical information at the sometime in April.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Rob Shannon in the NBER Conference Department by phoning him at 617-868-3900 or by sending an e-mail message to him at rshannon@nber.org.
