Dear Research Colleagues -

For the last few years, the NBER has been able to secure access to
the ORBIS database on corporations at a much-discounted price for a
consortium of affiliated researchers.  This initiative was originally
organized by Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas and Sebnem Kalemli-Ozcan; it is
now being directed by Galina Hale.  For 2023, the cost to be part of the
consortium will be about $12000 per research project; the precise amount
will be depend on the number of participating researchers.  A "research
project" includes data access for one researcher and up to two research
assistants.

NBER must submit our list of 2023 consortium members by Thursday.
If you would like to participate, and missed earlier messages about this
opportunity, please email Galina (gbhale_at_ucsc.edu) and Alterra Milone
(alterra_at_nber.org), NBER's Director of Research and Grants Management.
They will need a firm commitment by *tomorrow -- Wednesday September 28
-- *if you wish to secure data access for the coming calendar year.

     All best wishes.

Jim Poterba
