Dear Asset Pricing and Corporate Finance Program Members -

On May 3-4 2018, the NBER will be hosting a conference on "Long
Term Asset Management."   The program for this meeting may be found at

http://papers.nber.org/sched/LTAMs18

This meeting, the third in a series, is sponsored by Norges Bank
Investment Management (part of the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund).
The goal of this conference series is to encourage research on the
issues such as risk measurement, choice of payout rate, analysis of
liquidity, and engagement with management that may loom larger for
long-term investors than for other capital market participants.  I am
very grateful to Monika Piazzesi and Luis Viceira for organizing the
meeting.  Larry Summers will deliver a keynote address, and we will have
two panels to discuss emerging issues in long-term investing and asset
markets.

In addition to the authors and discussants on the program, we have
space to welcome a number of additional participants to the meeting.  We
can cover the hotel but not travel cost for researchers, and we also
have funds for both travel and hotel for several Ph.D. students who are
working on related issues.  If you would like to attend, or if you are
working with a doctoral student who would be a strong candidate to
attend, please let me know by Monday, March 19.  If there is excess
demand to participate, the available places will be allocated by lottery.

I hope that this will be of interest -- thank you and all best wishes.

Jim
