Dear CF Family,
I have two updates about NBER CF.
First, I am pleased to announce four new members in the Corporate Finance
Program at the NBER. There were many excellent nominations for Faculty
Research Fellows, and also for Research Associates (the post-tenure
designation) who have been long-time participants already. The steering
committee and I found that it was challenging to narrow the list. We are
delighted to have Shai Bernstein (Stanford, FRF), Johannes Stroebel (NYU,
FRF), Geoff Tate (UNC, RA), and Vish Viswanathan (Duke, RA) join the CF
group.
Second, it turns out that CF is out of the NBER norms on the Summer
Institute in terms of reimbursement. We are planning to harmonize this.
Airfare will now be reimbursed at $100/day of attendance at the Summer
Institute. If you have any concerns with this change, please let me or Jim
know.
