Job Title: Visiting Fellow, China Center
John L. Thornton China Center, Brookings
Foreign Policy and Global Economy and Development Programs

The John L. Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution is
accepting applications for a Visiting Fellow on the Chinese Economy.

The candidate should be a scholar who holds a Ph.D. in economics or
other appropriate field and have either 10+ years experience working on
Chinese economic issues or a proven record of publication in
professional or academic journals and books. The individual must also
have a proven ability to conduct original policy research and analysis.

The Visiting Fellow will be expected to actively participate in the
research activities of the China Center and interact with the
policymaking community in Washington, DC. Fluency in English and
proficiency in Mandarin (written and verbal) are required.

Visiting Fellows are typically appointed for a term of one year, but a
shorter or longer tenure is possible if appropriate. The Visiting Fellow
will receive a stipend for the term of the fellowship.
