Dear P30 Directors,

You may have already received this announcement from Richard, but in
case not I wanted to pass it along for distribution to your Center
affiliates.  It will be interesting to see how this works out.

Since the NIH grants server has been  having problems I am also sending
as a PDF

-- the RFA is an experiment -- when I surveyed some of our grantees
with two options  I  was told by 2/3 that they would prefer a half-sized
small grant if they could have a higher probability of getting one and
they could get the award more quickly, while a 1/3 opted for a  double
sized  small grant  even if there were fewer.

I think that this one is ideal for junior faculty and post docs.

Enjoy

Richard
