RE: Summer Institute 2007 - Call for Papers

We are writing to solicit papers for the Summer Institute 2007 meeting of
the NBER Social Security Working Group. This working group is made up of
researchers from several NBER programs who are interested in many economic
aspects of Social Security, including but not limited to: its impact on
saving and labor market behavior; the macroeconomic implications of its
financing; its implications for the distribution of income; its role in
insuring against mortality, disability, and income risk; the experiences of
other countriessocial insurance programs; and the microeconomic and
macroeconomic impact of potential reforms of the Social Security
system. Paper submissions on any topic related to Social Security are welcome.

This summer's meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 25, and is a joint
meeting of the NBER programs in Aging and Public Economics. If you have a
paper that you would like to present to the working group meeting, please
send it or an abstract by April 6, 2007 to:

Professor Andrew Samwick
