Annual Awards Compilation for NBER Reporter

Dear NBER Researchers -

     The first issue of the NBER Reporter each year lists awards
received by NBER affiliates in the previous year.  If you received an
honor during the 2020 calendar year and you would like us to announce
it, please send a description of no more than 25 words to Shaniah
Lindsey (shaniahl_at_nber.org) by Monday, February 22. Please include "2020
Awards" in the subject line.  If you shared this award with other
researchers, as often happens with "best paper" prizes, please include
the names of your co-recipients.  To keep the list manageable, I am
afraid that we cannot include honors such as named chairs that are
bestowed by affiliates' home institutions.

     Please note that next Tuesday, February 8, is the nomination
deadline for new Faculty Research Fellows and Research Associates.  You
should have received an email from Denis Healy at NBER on January 19
with the subject line "NBER Nominations for 2021."  That message
provides detailed directions on how to submit nominations. Identifying
promising candidates for NBER affiliation is one of our most important
tasks, and I hope that you will be particularly attentive to suggesting
researchers from under-represented groups as well as those who may not
be well-connected to the NBER network.
