NBER Summer Institute Workshop: Development Economics
July 24-25, 2014
Mark Rosenzweig, Nina Pavcnik and Duncan Thomas, Organizers

The Development Economics program will meet as part of the NBER's
Summer Institute in Cambridge, MA on Thursday July 24 and Friday July 25, 2014.

We are writing to invite you to submit a paper for the program. All
papers in development, broadly defined, will be considered for the
program. We plan to have six or seven papers presented each day with
plenty of time for discussion. If you have a paper that you would
like to present, please upload a copy here by March 30, 2014:
http://www.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=SI14DEV.

You are welcome to forward this call for papers to colleagues who may
have a paper suitable for the program.

We regret that, because of resource constraints, it will not be
possible to respond to everyone who submits a paper. You will be
contacted only if your paper has been included on the program. In
addition, while this call for papers is being widely distributed and
since the meeting room is small, we regret that it will not be
possible invite everyone who receives this call for papers or
everyone who submits a paper.

Invitations and logistical information will be distributed in late
April. If you have any questions or need additional information
please contact Rob Shannon in the NBER's Conference Department at
617/868-3900 or rshannon_at_nber.org.

Please also note that the second annual Fall meeting of the NBER
Development Economics program will be help on Friday 10 and Saturday
11 October 2014 in Cambridge, MA. A call for papers for the Fall 2014
meeting will be distributed later this year.
