So long, it's been good to know you

Dear NBER researchers and staff,

 

After 32 years I will end my affiliation as a Research Associate of the
NBER. The reason is an NBER policy that prevents economists whose primarily
affiliation is with the 'corporate world' from being NBER Research
Associates.

 

My association with the NBER has been immensely valuable to me, especially
during the early years of my career. I will always remember it fondly and
with gratitude.

 

One implication of ending my affiliation with the NBER is that my webpage
will no longer be hosted by the NBER. For those of you who occasionally
download some scribblings of mine from my webpage, the same material (and
any future additions) can now be accessed via http://www.willembuiter.com/ .

 

Once again, "goodbye and thanks for all the fish".
