POSITION:

Associate Director (New York, NY)

 

 

 

 

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Our client is one of the nation's leading experts on savings policies
that build the financial security for all Americans. Having recently
released a groundbreaking set of recommendations, formulated in
partnership with a prestigious advisory board of Chief Executive
Officers of leading financial institutions, policy experts, elected
officials and community leaders, our client is heading into its next
stage of growth: converting ideas into policy and action.

 

 

 

 

ABOUT THE POSITION:

 

Our client is seeking a candidate capable of managing the next stage of
the savings policy work for the Initiative as the group becomes part of
the national debates on savings policy, tax policy, financial security
and economic progress. This candidate should be motivated not only by
the potential of the policy and product ideas that have been generated,
but also by the challenge of managing multiple projects and people in
service of the overall policy goals. This role will be an integral part
of helping our client build on its impressive range of partners from the
private, public and non-profit sector.

 

Responsibilities include:

* Supervise the projects of staff and consultants; mentor and lead
staff and interns, managing multiple projects and people in service of
overall policy goals

* Assist Executive Director with strategic planning

* Write and edit documents, media statements, website contents, draft
strategy papers, correspondence with policy makers and partners

* Manage and monitor financial operations; including grants;
revenue/expense budgets

* Assist in group fundraising process

* Assist in managing relationships with policy and business leaders

* Supervise marketing and public relations

* Budgetary authority where applicable

 

 

 

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

 

* Relevant Capitol Hill experience and solid understanding of federal
issues pertaining to savings policies

* * Knowledge of project management techniques; ability to
oversee all aspects of projects and delegate work

* Excellent writing skills; experience in writing grants

* Experience in managing financial operations

* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including
strong oral presentation skills

* Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, to
work independently and demonstrate initiative

* Ideal candidate has master's preferred in law, political science or
business, with a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible
management and project management experience

* Position is based in NY, NY. Some travel required.

* Depending on candidate, opportunity for some remote work after
