Dear Staff Colleagues -
I hope that you had a wonderful holiday week.
I am writing to announce that after more than 25 years as a member
of the NBER's IT group, Inna Shapiro will be joining our accounting
group later this month. She will be managing our accounts payable
process, one of the core tasks that touches every part of our
organization. Inna's long experience interacting with many groups at the
NBER will be a great asset in this role, as will her IT skills as we
work to automate parts of the accounts payable workflow. I know that
Inna's move will create some near-term gaps in other workflows, and I
will be working with each of the affected departments to make sure that
we have a robust plan in place when Inna's transition occurs. I am very
grateful to Inna for her interest in taking on this new role.
