Dear Colleagues,
On Saturday, July 30, IT will be performing critical maintenance in three
areas impacting staff.
>From 7:00am to 7:15am, your Remote Desktop tunnel to your office PC will be
disrupted during this time. If you wait a few minutes and then try to log
in again you should be able to return to your RDP desktop as it was before.
During the maintenance window 7:00am to 11:00am, we will be taking the
mysql database server down for an extended period. During that time, you
will not be able to make any updates to the database, such as using
admin/tools.
Lastly, during this window 7:00am to 11:00am, the mail server will be
upgraded. Email to and from NBER accounts will be unavailable. Emails will
be queued at the sender or destination servers and will be delivered when
the server comes back up.
We do not expect the maintenance to take the entire window and will post an
update when the services are restored.
