Dear all,
On Wednesday, September 14 between 8am and 10am, we are making two
additional changes to the wireless network.
First, the wireless network on the fourth floor will be disrupted while we
finish the software updates we started at the end of August. Please note
the wired network will not be impacted by this maintenance. Desktop
computers for tunneling/remote desktop will be accessible during this time.
Second, we will be removing two of the wireless networks currently being
broadcast at 1050 to improve overall performance. Going forward, please use
NBER or NBER-Private. If you need the password for NBER-Private, please
contact it-support_at_nber.org. If your mobile device has saved NBER-5G or
NBER-5G-Private you will need to reconnect to a new network after this
change.
This is yet another step toward improving wireless network
performance. Thank you for your patience.
