Subject: Coronavirus Precautions
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring
the outbreak of respiratory disease (COVID-19) caused by the novel
(new) coronavirus
first identified in China. Due to growing concern, Lincoln Property
Company has taken immediate steps, including increasing the frequency of
cleaning building surfaces and other measures. We ask that you keep the
management office apprised of any relevant incidents involving your firm’s
employees.
We also encourage you to:
· Evaluate your workplace emergency response protocols.
· Consider how best to decrease the spread and lower the impact of
COVID-19 in your workplace by identifying and communicating your firm’s
objectives to your staff, which may include actions to reduce transmission
among staff.
· Follow CDC guidelines related to employees who appear to have
acute respiratory illness symptoms.
Here are some additional tips from the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses including the
coronavirus:
· Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20
seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after
blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
· If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based
hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and
water if hands are visibly dirty.
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
· Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
· Stay home when you are sick.
· Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue
in the trash.
· Do not share glasses, eating utensils, water bottles, etc.
