Network problems

The network is back to normal.

It isn't clear what was wrong. It is possible that some device connected
to the network was malfunctioning ("beaconing") and disrupting normal
traffic. This could be a device brought into the office or a device always
connected. A home router or switch improperly connected could cause this
problem as could an ethernet cable with both ends connected to a switch.
If you connected anything to the network this afternoon and experienced
subsequent problems, that device would be of interest to us.

Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
