NHES Data -- National Health Examination Survey Data

These Stata and SAS data files were created by Jean Roth at the NBER to make to the CDCs' National Health Examination Survey (NHES) Data Files a bit easier.

The compressed plain ASCII text files, Documenation, and SAS code are a mirror of files available from the CDC's web site.

The binary data files (SAS or Stata) can be converted to other formats using software such as Stat/Transfer or DBMS/Copy.

Internal users can access the programs and data in a UNIX shell at /homes/data/nhanes/nhes, or
on an NBER PC at Network Neighborhood --> NBER --> home --> data --> nhanes --> nhes
To download files in Internet Explorer, right click on them and select "Save Target As...".
