Online data extraction of the Integrated PUMS is available at
http://www.ipums.org.  Most users like the IPUMS.

Dear IPUMS Users,

We are pleased to announce the first release of data from the 2000 1% IPUMS
sample.  The sample currently contains data for 15 states constituting
roughly half of the national population.  All available 2000 IPUMS data can
be accessed via our Beta site at http://beta.ipums.org/usa/.

More states will be added to the 2000 sample as the Census Bureau makes the
data available.  The Minnesota Population Center is committed to releasing
the 2000 data in IPUMS format as quickly as possible.  Our production time
for the Census Bureau's most recent data release was under 8 hours.  We
expect to process the remainder of the 2000 PUMS data within a day of when
the Census Bureau releases it to the public.
